Meet Laura
For over ten years, I have tutored students from 5th grade through 12th with a personalized problem-solving approach. Everyone learns differently, and I adapt to whatever your needs are. I love English and helping students excel whether in their schoolwork or standardized tests. Getting into the college of choice is a specialty of mine by improving test scores, coaching, and creating memorable application essays. In addition to the many kids I have worked with over the years preparing for college, are my own two boys. Having been through the testing and application process, I understand the challenges.
What I Specialize In
Laura was my tutor for English and history assignments from my sophomore through senior year in high school, and she helped me with the ACT and my college application essay. I got into Wash U in St. Louis, my first choice. I was so lucky my mom found her to tutor me.

Public universities in California don’t use the common app, so I had to respond to several prompts beyond the essay that other colleges accepted.
